The Shallows —MOVIE HOT TAKE REVIEW—
Super Simple Synopsis: Girl goes into the shallows. Shark’s in the shallows.
Why Buy?
Shark movies are your guilty pleasure.
Why Rent?
Despite the horrific nature of the circumstances of the film, The Shallows is one of the most beautifully shot films of the year. (And we’re not even factoring in Blake Lively.)
Why Stream?
You have some popcorn that’s about to go stale and need a popcorn flick to watch while you devour it.
Why Skip?
You’re a land lover!
MHT Verdict: Buy it!
Beautiful to look at and plenty of intensity around a fairly simplistic concept: Woman vs. shark.
Central Intelligence —MOVIE HOT TAKE REVIEW—
Super Simple Synopsis: High school outcast becomes a lethal CIA agent and enlists the help of the one guy who was nice to him in high school.
Why Buy?
They had you with the tag line: “A little Hart and a big Johnson.”
Why Rent?
You don’t like bullies.
Why Stream?
No matter how silly the premise, this movie has “The Rock” in it. It’s “The Rock”!
Why Skip?
You still haven’t gotten over Ride Along and Ride Along 2.
MHT Verdict: Stream it!
While Central Intelligence has its moments, it definitely wasn’t nearly as funny as expected.
Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates —MOVIE HOT TAKE REVIEW—
Super Simple Synopsis: Mike and Dave need wedding dates.
Why Buy?
Zac Efron’s abs.
Why Rent?
Aubrey Plaza’s raunchiness.
Why Stream?
Anna Kendrick’s butt double.
Why Skip?
Adam DeVine.

While Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates isn’t a great movie, it’s a funny one.
Warcraft —MOVIE HOT TAKE REVIEW—

Ugh!
Not a fan of Adam Devine? He is kind of whiny.
He’s no Carson Wentz.
Hmmmm, baiting me to take a shot at Wentz. Nah, not gonna. But Adam isn’t even my top Devine. Going with Andy Devine on that one. You’ll have to Google him.
