Sorry, this week’s #5LinkMinimum was on another call but it’s here now:

1. Answer It: The Movie Super Phone Call
This week’s YouTube video from Burger Fiction features roughly 3 minutes of movie scenes featuring phone calls from movies. It’s fun to see how many of the 50+ movies you can name:

2. Understand It: Eli Roth vs. Social Justice Warriors
Eli Roth seems to have an issue with college kids. And based on this interview with Gawker, there’s no love lost for Social Justice Warriors either. There’s no wonder why he combined the two as the victim of his latest gorefest, The Green Inferno.

3. Dream It: Kevin Smith’s Comics to Movie Wish List
Kevin Smith told The Creators Project the 5 comics he would like to see on the big screen. Web of Spider-man #32 is one of the best covers of all time.

4. Know It: The 3 Types of Anne Hathaway Movies
Where would you put The Intern in FiveThirtyEight’s breakdown of the 3 types of Anne Hathaway movies?

5. See It: “Reel” Everest vs. Real Everest
See the actual faces of the 1996 Everest disaster next to their portrayal in Everest and many other comparisons of the movie Everest to actual events at History vs. Hollywood.

#5LinkMinimum 1.03 – Project Greenlight, How Different Pulp Fiction Could Be, The Gap Between Star Wars VI & VII, Jimmy Carter and Hollywood & the TV Top 100

Is it still Friday somewhere? It’s time for #5LinkMinimum:

1. Watch It: Project Greenlight is back!
The premiere went off with a whimper until #Damonsplaining became the hot topic due to an interaction in the season’s first episode between Matt Damon and Effie Brown. Beyond the controversial scene is a show that has proven in the past to be an enlightening glimpse into the making of a feature film. This year’s director is Jason Mann. You can see all of the clips of who he beat out on Project Greenlight‘s YouTube Channel or just enjoy the short film that got Mann in the mix:

#5LinkMinimum 1.02 – Honest Trailers Takes On The Happening, Awful Plot Twists, 500 Days of Film, Star Wars Swag and Goodnight Mommy Will Never Let You Sleep Again!

It’s Friday… here’s 5 for you to check out in this week’s edition of #5LinkMinimum:

1. Watch It (And Laugh): The Honest Trailer for The Happening
I once thought we were too harsh on The Happening… and now it’s ruined forever! Thanks Honest Trailers and Screen Junkies!

2. Discuss It: What would you add to “10 Awful Plot Twists That Ruined Good Movies”?
What would a week featuring an M. Night Shyamalan release be without discussing awful twists? ScreenCrush offers 10 awful plot twists that ruined good movies and while I don’t totally agree with the list, it’s fun to think about when it comes to good movies.

3. Support It: 500 Days Of Film
Jane Douglas-Jones is working her way through 500 films in 500 days. It’s like Josh Hartnett in 40 Days and 40 Nights only movies instead of celibacy… and no abs. Here’s the site: 500 Days of Film and join the 500 Days of Film Club while you’re there.

4. Buy It: Star Wars Smuggler’s Bounty Subscription Box
Funko plus Star Wars plus bi-monthly merchandise equals yes, please!

5. Get Freaked Out By It: Gawker’s Interview With Goodnight Mommy Filmmakers
I want to see Goodnight Mommy. I just don’t think I can do it. This interview didn’t help. This movie looks terrifying.

#5LinkMinimum 1.01 – Hell’s Club, That Kind of Nerd, #ForceFriday, @RTWriteUps & Mr. Robot’s Incredible Opens

Every Friday, Movie Hot Take presents #5LinkMinimum. As this is the first edition, let’s establish some expectations. The goal here is to provide 5 (occasionally more) essential views/reads/listens/purchases/follows from the previous week. Anyone can do a link dump but this is about quality not quantity.

1. Watch It: Hell’s Club

Movie mash-ups aren’t new to YouTube and this isn’t the first from Antonio Maria Da Silva. Hell’s Club is easily the best I’ve seen. AMDS Films has some other good ones but the latest is the best:
