10 Characters You Can Live Vicariously Through On 4/20

We take the high road on this week’s installment of “10 Things” and give you a list of 10 characters you can live vicariously through (especially if you are one that doesn’t partake) on the unofficial holiday for potheads: 4/20 (Warning: Most clips are NSFW):

1.Cheech & Chong

Without a doubt, if you think weed and cinema and don’t think Cheech & Chong first, you’re doing it wrong.

2. The Dude

Why is Jeff Bridges’ character from The Big Lebowski on this list? Because he’s The Dude, man! Come on!

3. Spicoli

It’s hard to imagine Sean Penn in his iconic role in Fast Times at Ridgemont High as Spicoli but it happened.

4. Smokey

Before Chris Tucker kicked some ass alongside Jackie Chan in Rush Hour and then disappeared from the face of the Earth (okay, not really!), he was hilarious as the always high sidekick to Ice Cub’s Craig in Friday.

5. Jay & Silent Bob

They even made it to the animated world! The dynamic duo started in Clerks and appeared in many other Kevin Smith movies even had superhero alter-egos Bluntman & Chronic.

6. David Wooderson

Alright, alright, alright! Matthew McCounaghey is equal parts creepy and cool in Richard Linklater’s Dazed and Confused as David Wooderson, the older guy still hanging around with all the high school kids.

7. Willoughby

More Linklater! He introduced a new group of stoners this year in Everybody Wants Some!! Willoughby, the bearded, philosophical pitcher helps get some of his teammates properly baked during their weekend before college begins.

8. Harold & Kumar

It’s tough to include Harold & Kumar and leave off Neil Patrick Harris but let’s face it, he wasn’t getting high. He was trippin’ balls.

9. Brian

If White Castle isn’t your thing, Jim Breuer’s Brian in Half Baked has a list of munchies that might hit the spot!

10. Bill Murray

The last spot could’ve gone to Carl the Gardner from Caddyshack or Steve Zissou from The Life Aquatic but heck, when the zombie apocalypse comes and weed is easier to come by than a Twinkie, I’m sure we all hope to spend our last moments with Bill Murray!
