BuRStS #35 (Part 5): Ghostbusters, Blood Father, The Night Crew & Satanic

When you need a 5th movie to recommend to buy for Part 5 of BuRStS, who ya gonna call? Check out the 5th installment of what to buy, rent, stream and skip for the weeks of October 4th & 11th to find out:

Ghostbusters —MOVIE HOT TAKE REVIEW—

Super Simple Synopsis: Like the original Ghostbusters but with female Ghostbusters.

Why Buy?

Screw those nasty YouTube comments!

Why Rent?

Because the Internet trolls are usually wrong.

Why Stream?

Irony.

Why Skip?

You’re an Internet troll.

MHT Verdict: Buy it!

It’s not the original Ghostbusters but it is mostly entertaining.

Blood Father –NO REVIEW–

Super Simple Synopsis: An ex-con tries to protect his daughter from a drug cartel.

Why Buy?

Think what you want about Mel Gibson, the guy can make an action movie.

Why Rent?

It’s certified fresh by Rotten Tomatoes.

Why Stream?

Come on, you know you want to.

Why Skip?

No matter how good it looks, you can’t look past Mel Gibson’s lunacy.

MHT Verdict: Rent it!

Gibson is a believable action star.

The Night Crew –NO REVIEW–

Super Simple Synopsis: A group of bounty hunters, a Chinese fugitive and a group of savage border runners at a deserted hotel.

Why Buy?

You love B-movie action flicks.

Why Rent?

That’s Machete!

Why Stream?

For some reason it reminds you of From Dusk Til Dawn, doesn’t it?

Why Skip?

You like day shift.

MHT Verdict: Stream it!

As bad as it looks, I’m kind of curious what her secret is. Good job, trailer!

Satanic –NO REVIEW–

Super Simple Synopsis: Saving a girl from a human sacrifice might not always be the best idea.

Why Buy?

I’m not sure why but I’m guessing you’re related to Sarah Hyland.

Why Rent?

Maybe you’re a desperate horror buff?

Why Stream?

The cover art, probably.

Why Skip?

This makes more sense than any of the other options.

MHT Verdict: Skip it!

Call it low budget horror fatigue… or good taste.
