BuRStS #39: Indignation, Phantom Boy & Sausage Party

Welcome to the Election edition of BuRStS where MHT recommends what to buy, rent, stream or skip amongst new movies coming to the home video market. Unfortunately, due to some other life challenges, there hasn’t been an update in a week and reviews of Denial (it was good), Inferno (the worst Tom Hanks movie of ever?) & Doctor Strange (unexpectedly excellent!) are delayed but coming soon. Meanwhile, let’s get to this week’s releases available specially for Election Day! Well, that’s not really true, it’s just a coincidence:Indignation –MOVIE HOT TAKE REVIEW–

Super Simple Synopsis: The ’50s, being Jewish, blowjobs and handjobs.

Why Buy?

You’re voting for Clinton but really wanted to vote for Sanders.

Why Rent?

You’re voting for Clinton because you really liked Bill.

Why Stream?

You’re voting for Gary Johnson.

Why Skip?

You didn’t vote but you meant to.

MHT Verdict: Buy it!

Like the election, there are no real winners here but we’re electing Indignation as the lesser of three evils and declaring it the one to take home this week.

Sausage Party –MOVIE HOT TAKE REVIEW–

Super Simple Synopsis: An adult (read: lewd, crude and foul) cartoon about talking food.

Why Buy?

You voted to legalize marijuana.

Why Rent?

You would have voted to legalize marijuana but you live in Colorado and it’s already legal and now you’re broke… and high.

Why Stream?

The roommate tapped into the neighbor’s cable while taking bong hits.

Why Skip?

You asked, “What’s a bong?”

MHT Verdict: Rent it!

It’s got a few funny parts and if you are having friends over, it’s better than an Election result viewing party.

Phantom Boy –NO REVIEW–

Super Simple Synopsis: Animated feature about an apparition who flies around the city of New York.

Why Buy?

You want to make animation great again.

Why Rent?

You’re with Phantom Boy.

Why Stream?

Ghosts lives matter.

Why Skip?

Rudy Giuliani is from New York City and he’s a dope.

MHT Verdict: Stream it!

What’s the worst that could happen? Oh… Trump is leading in Florida right now? Don’t answer that.
