The latest trailer for Deadpool doesn’t really add anything compelling. If you saw the first trailer and were intrigued, you’re probably still all geeked up. If you weren’t wowed, you are still probably out. With a February 12, 2016 release date, it should do well at theaters as this is usually not a time for heavy competition.

I promised myself I would not get suckered into anything J.K. Rowling does next… then I watched this preview. I’m in! But now I have to wait until next November???

To be fair, if I stopped watching before reminding me of the awful Bill Pullman speech from the first Independence Day, I would have been much more excited for this sequel as the first half of the preview delivered a much darker feel than the original. The second half just looked like it was capitalizing on the nostalgia factor.

Even the August 19, 2016 release date can’t scare me off of this one. There’s something about the visuals of Kubo and the Two Strings that has won me over. The voice cast looks great but far secondary to the taste the trailer gives. Can’t wait for more!

Admittedly, I’m on the fence when it comes to X-Men movies. I’m never sold on them but I go anyway. Some have delivered huge, some have delivered a little bit less but at some point, I expect one to completely disappoint. Maybe X-Men: Apocalypse might be the one. We’ll see May 27, 2016… but damn, that end shot of Professor X was badass, wasn’t it?

There’s something about seeing Eric Northman (Look, I don’t care what his real name is but that guy will always be Eric Northman) back on the screen that makes me want to see Tarzan. Plus, they apparently made this film about 20 years ago because they found a very young Samuel L. Jackson and Christoph Waltz to be in it, too.
I’m ready to be disappointed by The Legend of Tarzan on July 1, 2016.

While it’s easy to criticize the latest trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, it’s hard to not be intrigued. The very revealing preview shows Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Batman unmasked, the arrival of Doomsday and the first appearance of Wonder Woman. With so much revealed, one has to wonder what hasn’t been revealed… the amount given away suggests a lot.
The $200 million budgeted film hits theaters March 25, 2016.

I don’t know. Maybe it’s just me. The whole Avengers/Iron Man/Captain America/Marvel Universe thing is getting a little stale. To me.
We know the U.S. Treasury is printing extra money now to insure there’s enough to go into the pockets of Marvel Studios. You’ll see Captain America: Civil War. I’ll see Captain America: Civil War. Probably even if we don’t want to see it. Coming May 6, 2016.
Side note: While Anthony Mackie was only in 70% of the movies released in 2015, it looks like he’s going to go for a perfect 100% in 2016.
